Chamber Chatters on Toastmaster TV

In Uncategorized on November 4, 2012 at 3:35 pm

On October 23 I had the privilege to participate in Toastmasters TV.  The process was exciting and fun and educational!

I drove across the bay to the Mid-Peninsula Media center in Palo Alto and was to arrive there around 8:00 PM.  A host of people were there because it is a shared facility.  But at last it was Toastmasters’ time and the set was all arranged.  The other speaker and I had been fully and professionally briefed by Allen and Trich (Gray).  At last it was time for taping.  It felt pretty serious and real – but cool!

When cameras rolled we sat with the host, Ian, as he asked us a few questions.  After that it was my time to give my speech, Flying Lessons.  The director gave me the prompt, the main camera light went red, and I delivered the speech.  As I spoke, the director would occasionally motion to me to change a bit to face another of the three cameras.  Before I knew it, it was over!  Whew!

I would recommend this to any Toastmaster!
